Nana Jill’s Sparkling Star - Book Design

Nana Jill’s Sparkling Star is a children’s book written and designed to help young children understand the loss of a loved one. Created for children under five, the story introduces grief through simple language, gentle storytelling and thoughtful illustrations.

The project began as something personal for my own children, giving them a comforting and age-appropriate way to understand loss and remember someone special. I developed the book from initial concept and writing through to design, layout and print production.
